Shell has closed their Houston offices - not COP. We’re told it’s “optional” to stay home during this health crisis because they don’t see the infection numbers being that high in Houston. If we had testing, we would have a better picture. So much for “Safety” and “People”. Crossing your fingers and putting your heads in the sand isn’t going to make this health crisis disappear. Get woke and close the offices!

There is no 3 years enhanced severance pkg, that’s false.
ELT will be forced to shut down Bartlesville and consolidate to Houston. They will lay off all but a few. Cuts will be deep everywhere.
I mean, not to defend the ELT or anything, but it is surely cheaper to just let the olds in the company die than it is to lay them off right? Planned obsolescence? HA... like our ELT can PLAN anything...
Business critical: ELT, managers, some financial soothsayers, high pots, and a few IT guys to remove viruses all the above get by opening spam emails during pointless meetings.
Non business critical: everyone else coz we can just hire contractors to do all that stuff, ammiright?! Hi five!!!! Yeah! SPIRIT values!!!!!
Get your preps today, need to prepare to shelter in place for two months or longer,
Today is the day you work hard to define yourself as “business critical”. You’ve been warned.
Yes, you may get the Corona Virus, but you’ll still have a job.
Business Critical employees will be selected this week based on ability to brown nose. All others will not work from home as they will no longer have a job. Costs must be cut to afford the individual $75 million Leadership Forum Enhanced Severance packages of three years pay, increased pension, and tax deferral and investment.
Look, this is how I see it Our ELT has made a conscience decision to hire so many contractors over the past 4 years. This reason was to be able to reduce workforce without payout. I know for a fact you could force me to release all my contractors and i'd still be fine. Let them all go.
Our ponderous committee-style bureaucratic “leadership” is incapable of fast effective action. Think about the steady drip-drip-drip year-after-year layoffs and pretend EOI’s... which will start again this year.
