It is my direct experience that everything now is geared toward keeping leader egos happy. In my department we had a glimmer of hope that our own leadership would help us overcome the leader egotistical b—s— that is rampant in the company and never seems to be dealt with. We were lied to once again. Our own leader is weak and bows to whatever random thing senior leaders want. Even if it makes employees apathetic. They do not care. The conscience of the company has left the building. It’s so sad and not necessary.

HCSC has, for the most part, always been led by jackasses that have little regard for rank & file. It simply got worse after the TX “merger”. These “elite people” are always doing the dance to claw out their territory to increase leverage and pay. And when some of these elites lose, they get to take home big-big money. When we lose, what do we get?
They had a perfect opportunity to market how a Health Care company had a plan and working remotely was the best solution to support everyone both in sickness and in health. That we would always be around to help no matter what. That ship sailed. And agreed, ALL locations should be considered.
The real reason WFH only applies to Chicago employees is because senior leadership can only understand what they can see. And what applies to them. The other states just aren’t a priority to them. And they’re making that very clear yet again.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha yes anthem and HCSC created a pandemic just so they could have the office work from home to rebrand to anthem.
The real reason they are making Chicago employees WFH is so they can put up all of the new Anthem branding while we are out.
I'm not even close to over worked and so many have little to nothing to do. Just waiting for the reorg, funding, mergers or layoffs. Selling Montana, Oklahoma or New Mexico is the romer now.
Employee morale has hit rock bottom. Management never stand up for employees. They are in it for themselves and to secure their jobs. They don’t care about over working employees. No work
life balance, employee appreciation or compensation for overtime. IT employees are being treated like slaves.
It has always been my experience that almost all of the leadership is weak. Strength, ambition and vision is not a valued trait in employees. I don’t see it getting any better. Can you imagine what it will be like if we actually merge or are acquired? Smh
