Friend at Optum in Client Svcs had a meeting yesterday and 16 laid off, as reduction. And 2 managers. Spread out over a few states but mostly CA
Not a word yet today but management in meeting now......
My internal sources that I trust know their facts said reductions would happen Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday or on multiple days. Areas likely affected are Optum and UHG. A different source has heard more are coming in March at the more senior leadership and executive levels.
Nothing but well see about tmrw. It should be limited on the uhg side but optum it could be a decent size layoff.
