It will just be another excuse they use when they do their yearly purge of older employees so that they can bring in cheaper college kids that stay about a year to get their bonus and then they leave. No job stability no matter how good you are. Get a new boss and you could be let go, their yearly algorithm based on who kniws what could pick you and you could be let go, dept restructured and you could be let go. Now, coronavirus, new excuse, you could be let go. Collect your paycheck at C-apital one but ALWAYS have your resume updated and ready. Not a bitter former employee here, just a fact.
Don't forget the taxi medallion bs this company was involved in when they branded themselves as a tech company and all the failed businesses they pawned off off like investing, mortgages, etc.
Rumors are going around that they needed a bailout
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/cftc-quietly-bails-out-capital-one. I'm closing my account and switching to JP Morgan because JP is "too big to fail" but Capital One? HAHAHAHAHA
Their stock have taken a huge hit like other banks. Another banking crisis not what anyone wanted.
At least 2 contractors have been laid off in VA - COVID 19 effect is the cited reason
As a subprime lender, Capital One will be one of the first companies affected by the Corona virus. Expect layoffs. Fairbank will certainly not risk a paycut to support us.
