Anyone hear about layoffs coming for PHN in Louisiana (UHG)? Getting really worried.

So glad I left this hell hole a long time ago.
Most executives only care about the $$$ that's going to end up in their pockets. Cutting employees so they and stockholders become more and more wealthy. F all others!
And he doesn't really care about your morale or where you sit in that boat, paddling forward, backwards or sitting there!

Do you wonder if any employees know the ceo has an on-going affair with the claims vp and other high ranking directors?
The majority of us never had unicorn insurance...we always would see great awesome plans our customers had. But ours as employees s—ed. But you stayed for the pay. But knowing other insurances pay better now some are making the choice to leave. You get what you pay for as they say? Nevertheless all insurance companies give poor insurance except to the corporate crew.

Facts
We missed our member target for 2020. “This fact alone is going to cost us millions”
We have too many employees
Our main office is in the most expensive real estate building in the parish. Most of our floors are empty/ wasted space with A lease were locked into for a while. United refers to our main office space as the Taj Mahal. I’ve also heard them call it swanky.
We are not a local company anymore. We are corporate America where profits and accountability matter.
Employee morale is already low because they took away our awesome unicorn insurance.
We are no longer living in the glory days of Jazz Fest and Saints tickets.
He lived in a PHN bubble where we rarely laid off people
Don’t get me wrong our current environment is scary with these layoffs but this is What it’s like in the new corporate America.
So hang on tight my fellow coworkers and get those resumes ready just in case. Because it’s gonna be a rough ride.
No one is safe. Layoffs will happen tomorrow and or Thursday.
More than likely they are going to Continue to “cut the fat”. The mother ship feels PHN has too many employees. I’m sure carol is rolling over in her gave right now.
