Sentiment of some knowledgeable managers is ACT style layoffs will be unavoidable by end of June. Though things are expected to pick up a bit after June, many will not survive in their jobs that long.

Intel didn’t layoff people in the worst of 2008 recession. And did layoffs when things were considerably better in 2015. So business downturn is not a good predictor of Intel layoffs 😀

We’ll know more at Q1 earnings. Depends on the numbers, I wouldn’t expect much impact yet, mostly it’s been fearmongering (business-wise).
By the end of 2020, I would be surprised if bean counter swan has not wrapped up the company after firing everyone.
Has this virus affected the supply chain that much? Why would they lay-off people for a short-term drop in the stock market? Is this a cover for some lay-offs they wanted to do anyway?
