Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Job protection

A group of remaining employee have started contacting union representatives to step in. I have never worked for a union however I have never worked for a company as shady a UHC. One department is laying off the one beside it is hiring. If you want to get rid of your aging workforce or not so healthy employees this is the way to do it. Cover up discrimination with a blanked stating downsizing. One minute your working the next your gone. Those interested contact your local chapter. I don't like the idea of paying union dues but if it cost $10 a pay yet they save my job or negotiate better insurance the 10 a pay could save me thousands a year. Google the ceo's pay

If you want support, put those leaflets all over the Cypress, CA office. Morale is dead there and people are looking for an outlet to vent against UHC as they’ve seen many hard workers affected by horrible offshore teams or layoffs.

I think it’s too late.
COME CLEAN UNITEDHEALTHCARE & tell us exactly what’s going on now... please don’t be that heartless.

There's interest in unionizing down in south Texas. This should be something that should be spread throughout the enterprise. Leaflets on car windshields or whatever, but unless that happens all of our jobs will eventually belong Overseas.

To even have a Union help with only stopping willy nilly layoffs, it will cost much more than $10 every 2 weeks. Unions should be a consideration given the current slash and burn layoff practices. But as the old saying goes: to get something, you have to give something.
