Funny for sure. But seriously, WHY on earth would Universal Brand Development want to buy Mattel? They can license their IP to anyone, and while Mattel certainly has some IP that could have value to Universal Brand Development, the math doesn't make sense to buy the company and all associated overhead, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, etc. That's not the business they are in. They ARE in the business of licensing others to create consumer products and digital products. Maybe they buy Barbie and Hot Wheels when the company is eventually broken up. And license to others. Don't see Lawandus returning to Mattel unless he leaves Universal and boomerangs back at a higher level (replacing RD maybe)? He'd for sure negotiate a golden parachute like the rest of them and won't turn anything around but leave a wealthy man after a couple of years.
