Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

As you sow . . .

Hmm...

Notwithstanding fears over Coronavirus affecting global markets, DXC stock has nose dived over the last four days. As I write it's below $26.

Does this mean management will consider more layoffs, in an attempt to bolster margins for investors, or will investors consider the writing is finally on the wall?

I'd be interested in people's views on this.

Stock price down over 6% this morning in early trading. Near an all-time low. Mikey's chickens have come home to roost. Like we say though, the Board of Directors allowed him to get filthy rich running the company into the ground, so f*** them. A steaming t–d always smells.

The DXC strategy - first paragraph @ https://hbr.org/2017/11/many-strategies-fail-because-theyre-not-actually-strategies?utm_campaign=hbr&utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=social

Those who remain are either keeping their heads down, or are hoping the company will still manage to turn things round.

NO we are fed up and posting here wont change a thing, posting on Twitter (under a false name to protect yourself) is one good way to hit the company where people can see it.

The Board all got a $159,400 bonus in stocks , and we GET ZERO................................ F– them , time to say "not my job" like the India resources like to say

DXC board all got there 5,900 shares so whatever the price is they are getting more than the people that actually do the work to try to keep the customers happy.

I 'd be glad with a $5,900 bonus let alone a $118,000 one the board got if the shares were trading at $20 a share.

F-ck the board!

Everything is down. Focusing on DXC's price alone seems to be needless fearmongering.

Public sentiment is openly hostile.
With DXC's market cap nosing down like a submarine, any wobbles (Coronavirus) compound massively with DXC being so financially exposed to shocks - Contract cash flows turning negative can only mean one outcome - savage WFR or potentially in a few years - wholesale "Enron type" collapse
If you can get WFR, take it - you might never get a chance again

This will be a test of the new leadership's statement about taking a long term view. Easy to say until the big investors and board put the squeeze on.

Right now it's 23.92 USD −1.38 (5.45%)... Not good but considering what's happened to the Dow in the last few days it's also not surprising.

Will it bounce back once the world has regained its senses? (Maybe 6 months or more which means the Olympics will probably not be held or be delayed at best.)

The one big problem with world events like the Coronavirus is that companies that are not "solid" tend to suffer the most. DXC is is in a very vulnerable position right now... They may come back but the odds are stacked against them. There is real value in the company and a big competitor would be eyeing them off for a take over right now.... Imagine having to reapply for the job you currently occupy. :(

To be fair practically every stock in the world is tanking because of caronavirus

I think the fear being generated around COVID-19 is accelerating the demise of DXC. Surely more layoffs are imminent globally?

Good point (not just DXC) if sales slump, employees can't get to work and delay in supply chain / service chain then companies will need to temporary layout off contracts and possibly permanent staff - If Projects are delayed / canned.

NYSE only just opened and DXC have hit an all time low of $24.08
There is only one direction we are going and that is down.
