SF joined Dump's Transition Team. Oracle's key customer in the U.S. is the Govt. Surprise. If LJE's gig for the guy shocked some Oracle emps why are they working there in the first place?
Censored by the trolls who monitor this board. If you post anything positive about Oracle it will be deleted. If you walked out you should be fired.
@3brb, posts that support any political candidate get deleted. This is a copy-paste from the site rules page:
Prohibited behavior:
- Asking for votes or engaging in vote manipulation
“In Seattle, my entire team walked out and we are still employed.”
You should have never come back.
Corruption should not be supported, even when you might benefit from it temporarily. The justice system is important to all of us and should not be something that can be bought by anyone.
Posts supporting those that walked out have been deleted.
The correct title of the news should have been:
"99.78% of Oracle employees didn care about the walk out"
According to the article, 300 employees out of 136,000 walked out. Even is the news is thoughtful (though no evidence), that's 0.22%, a crying minority of social(ist) activists.
So, why should I care about their agenda?
In Seattle, my entire team walked out and we are still employed.
That's the power of OCI in Oracle. If it was any other org, they would have shown the door right away.
Like at Google, there will be retaliation from Oracle
Maybe not that direct, O isn't Google after all. But if a VP is ordered to lose some people, then the decision on who to select might be a little easier to make.
In Seattle, my entire team walked out and we are still employed.
By "walk out" do you mean:
1) You took a long lunch and no one noticed?
2) You took the day off and no one noticed?
3) You picketed in front of the office?
4) You're on an honest to goodness strike?
5) You were just virtue signalling.
Wouldn't it make more sense to get another job?
In Seattle, my entire team walked out and we are still employed.
I get it, everyone has Freedom of Speech as does LE. He can do whatever he wants, but I think he will kiss anyones A** who is in the office and esp this Buffon in the office, when the Pentagon deal was denied and given to MSFT. If only he have S**T about the employees and rather then issuing bonuses to SC and now deceased, MD, in hunfreds of millions, people can benefit from that. Screw this AH
It's so cute seeing employees naively think they have a say in how their employer does business. It's even more amusing when they find themselves suddenly unemployed.
Does being a pragmatist now mean paying bribes for favors?
I’d call it criminal.
They can be as short-sighted and stubborn as they want, but LE is a pragmatist. It's not a bad idea to have the president on your side. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-02-20/trump-backer-ellison-gets-president-s-support-in-google-fight.
LE is going to back whoever is in office.
absolutely ridiculous. Where is the respect for free speech? LJE can do whatever he wants in his off time, same as any other person at Oracle. And conversely, if someone "walks out" of their job, it isn't retaliation when they are disciplined, it's an appropriate action by a manager.
I am neutral on the issue.
However...
We've had multiple political threads here and mods always delete them. Threads like this get out of control and this one will go out of control as well.
