I think they're referring to a total of 30,000 people laid off since the waves started in 2019.
I believe a fair number of things on this site but I do not believe 30,000 people were laid off last week. The traffic on this site would of been through the roof.
My heart aches for the 30,000 yes 30,000 that was given notice last week. A CEO stated back in 2013 to always have your resume updated especially when you hear that divisions are consolidating. As soon as I heard about UHC revamping Medicare payments and then the UHC Government Programs division was created I knew about 1/3 of those teams would be let go. So sad! Praying that all find another job quickly.
UnitedHealth Group makes me sick.
Thanks to UHG, Next month in March, St Patrick’s day will likely lose some appeal. Not feeling the love for the Irish ☘️ right now - thanks for taking our jobs
Cheaper labor in Ireland, India and the Philippines. So sad so many good tenured employees are being laid off every week or month. UnitedHealthcare will pay for what they have done.
The cheaper labor is in Ireland. Ireland is taking over pretty much everything.
I'm surprised they even have employees in California atill. The state protects them pretty well. Uhg will likely lay alot of them all off and hire telecommuters in cheaper states without the PTO protections.
Big layoff, probably half the team. Many people given until July. Some were told to leave today. M&R ops based in CA
Some folks in Cypress got their notice today. So sad, some have been here for 15+ years. They’re letting go of so much talent :( Wishing everyone the best of luck.
Its across the board. If you get a meeting notice that is "Mandatory", that's pretty much it. Some people out of Cypress, Minnesota, Texas, etc...but Ireland is ok lol
UnitedHealth Group layoffs seem to never end. Disgusting company.
Thanks for the quick post and department. Is this out of Minnetonka, MN?
So sorry. Hopefully it will end up being for the best.
