Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Another sale and lease back

Seems awfully similar to the deal that landed Windstream in this mess to begin with. Another sale and lease back where creditors and shareholders get screwed.

Until management changes, nothing changes.

The network still doesnt work. Just go to YouTube and see how people want file class action suits. Just like Georgia, Windstream will lose.

That illegal shell company windstream propped up in Uniti is always there to help TT move assets and money around. Quite the telecom ponzi scheme he has going. Question is how do they finance their remaining debt and come out of Ch 11 when Windstream now owns nothing and has no collateral?

Pump the brakes on this and cut it over to that

Does this mean that the federal judge in this case does not see the new deal between the brothers and LR5 as not being “too cute by half”??

Its still a TDM network from the 90s. They may have the money now to upgrade the network, but the execs greed will most likely continue to keep that from happening. They will buy another failing CLEC for its customer base

What about the 500 pound guerilla in the room? All they did is find away to lower costs and debt. They still can’t retain customers due to network outages. They’ll be back in bankruptcy in 5 years. Cutting costs isn’t the same as growing revenue.

Financially this is great for Windstream. But I disagree on one front, I no longer see new management coming in. Tony and his crew just bought themselves a few more years. If they can shut down the CLEC network and have nothing but ILEC, BYOB officesuite/SDWAN the company would be pretty well off financially but there wouldnt be many employees left standing.

I will care when I see the value in my paycheck return and only then will my efforts increase. I deal with both sides of the house. I know that ILEC and CLEC are not isolated entities. If the highest paid employees feel that they need more money to do their job then there is absolutely no issue with following their example....after all they are LEADERSHIP!!!

"Good for Windstream. Please clarify. Morale is in the toilet, NOBODY trusts management. "

First, you'll almost certainly get new management

Second, the rent payments are going down.

Third, debt payments are going down

Fourth, new management will almost certainly do the obvious things that folks here have been fussing about not getting done

Fifth, Uniti is kicking in 1.75 billion for fiber builds.

That's the big picture.

Probably the little picture at your level will take awhile to improve as all this trickles down. Also, if you're on the CLEC system, it may not improve; it may go dark depending on what you do.

Good for Windstream. Please clarify. Morale is in the toilet, NOBODY trusts management. Wages not keeping up with inflation.......on and on. If good for Windstream means more money and bonuses for management and nothing for employees ....then who cares. I dont

It’s going to be good for Windstream, no other way to spin it. Debt is going to be cut in half and it will be a much stronger company. Yes there will be layoffs and there need to be. Also need new management.
