Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Shame! Shame! Shame!

Shame on doing this town hall in Ireland and talking about a great future for global development after laying off so many employees stateside. This does not make many stateside employees feel good today and for the future

You can't tell mgmt offshore is the problem.. they don't want to hear it. Everyone knows their quality is horrible since Wipro circa 2003. Nothing has changed.

I have worked with offshore since they started sending jobs elsewhere and in many different roles/departments. My experience has been the same every time. They require a lot of handholding and the quality of work is nonexistent. We spend so much time babysitting them and correcting their screwups I can’t see how we could be saving money using them. In my experience they spend more time chasing down kudos than doing actual work. And when you look at who gets the kudos in this company, it’s them,

My experience from working with over seas employees, can this be how all the teams are? It makes me wonder if we just got the C drive thru crew. No ability to work independently, no ability to work once any kind of obstacle is reached. Technical skills not applicable to area they support. Do not work the same time zones to be at work during business but job requires interaction with business. Unable to apply knowledge at general level to different situations. Hand over hand assistance required. Please tell me this is just an unfortunate group we got and other teams have had better luck. My personal favorite is their manager thinks adding more of then to the same project will help get work done hahaha! Yes please add 2 more people to something one staff you fired could have done. You already have 4 why not 6.

I thought it’s a huge slap in the face when Andrew Delany sends out his blog posts about new centers opening in South America and the Philippines.
Look I know these people need to work as well, but dang you are laying people off, but hiring and building outside of the US. Something is wrong here, greedy corporate America. We have families to feed as well.

This is a real slap in the face!! Anyone stateside thinks they are safe has their head in the sand!! Ppl you are not safe at all. UnitedHealthcare should change their name to Global Healthcare, because when people hear United they think United States, long from being a USA company. This company will get what they deserve ( to go under). They have screwed so many good, hardworking employees! Karma and I hope soon!!

Guess they are moving everything offshore as medicare for all and single payer become closer to reality. Pushing their digital garbage in other nations where there is already universal coverage. Snakes. Greedy, venomous, snakes. Plundering other nations to line their pockets. Most companies who offshore have already learned the hard way it doesn't work, and brought the jobs back. Wake up Ireland. Wake up India. Wake up Phillippines. Wake up South America. Protect yourselves from the exploitation and disease of UHG.

They are all into AI. Doctors don't want it, or all the tech, electronic health records, etc. Hoisecalls are a way around the doctors and a means of increased revenue. This companybhas no compassion. Watch the Deathstar implode.

They are really laying it on thick regarding our OGS footprint Ireland, India, and South America. Profiteering by laying off US resources and offshoring the work to administer a US benefit in Medicare.

We need a single payer system.

Nobody gives a flying f about their society mission because they want the workers to do it for cheap wages and less and less benefits while taking on more and more work. F off.
