30% increase on a pittance is still a pittance.
Funny enough a pittance is all the front line employees of this God forsaken company can hope for.
Windstream is a deadman walking. Don't expect the stock to go above 50 cents or close to a dollar. Windstream is delisted off the stock market. Something, is going to happen with all the loses they've had, and it will be bloody.
The executive team will go once they get their bonuses, expect parts of this company to get sold, possible forced merger or hostile takeover, and their will be massive layoffs.
Can't keep stealing from Peter to pay Paul! Sooner or later, Peter is going to get p-ss-d off!
The stock is worthless. That’s not an opinion, it’s a mathematical and legal fact.
Windstream unsecured debt is valued in the bond market at 10-15¢ on the dollar - that’s how much everybody expects those creditors to get paid back in a mix of bonds and _new_ stock in the post bankruptcy Windstream. They’d have to get 100% before you could even start to think of the old stock as having value. That might take a billion more dollars? (not sure of exact figure).
The old stock, which has already been semi-officially declared worthless in an early bankruptcy court filing, will be officially voided at this time.
The stock exchange de-listed Windstream’s stock.
The current shares of stock are trading “over-the-counter” and off of any exchange for a few pennies. The action is mostly flim-flammers in “boiler rooms” manipulating the price and peddling it to naive investors. It goes up and down with their machinations.
This stock is just a dead possum hanging from a tree — it’s not really alive, it’s just randomly swinging with the breeze.
So fluctuations in the stock don’t say anything about what’s happening at Windstream.
Sadly i think its because of the Frontier bankruptcy. People connecting Elliott management as significant debt holders in both situations, however the situations are not entirely similar.
Don't bet the house (or the company) on it! Lol
