Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Small volley of layoffs in Canada

Wide range, department by department lay-offs hit Canadian operations across the country beginning last week. All Xerox jobs not HCL. Many different roles including sales. Another F U from Xerox management to everyone thanking them for their hard work and service.
No way out of this sinkhole. Everyone’s name is on that list. Just a matter of time.

Yes huge lay off west coast too some top key people let go and all over the country. Even Europe. The company does not care who goes they just push the job to who's left if they can do it. Seems all to obvious they need money to buy HP. You are nothing at this place a number in the system.

JV and clan do not care what happens to anything or anyone in Xerox. The plan is to merge HP and Xerox, take the Brand and all its goods and then fire all of what’s left about Xerox.
The Clan is so concerned about the customer at this point that they just removed the Customer Relations Group so the customer has nowhere to go when they have issues. Does that sound like a company with any value??
Best way to stop customer complaints is to remove the team that handles them
BRILLIANT!!!!
Ursula should have thought of that
What a company (as I shake my head)

There is a huge amount of knowledge just walking out the doors each time these large layoffs are done. We have tools, systems, reports, and processes that no one knows how to use or change because the owner, or SME, was walked out during one of these purges.

Yes, from tenured Sales reps and Service managers to office staff, all got let go. I hope they got the severance packages they deserved. One of my concerns is that how is Xerox going to survive loosing all this experience & knowledge!

"Everyone's name is on that list. It's just a matter of time."

That is a perfect summary of the current situation. They can't grow their way out of this hole, especially without a deal with HP, so it will be cuts, cuts, and more cuts to try and drive expenses down in order to keep the stock price up so "you know who" can sell at a profit, then move on to his next victim.
