Are they helpful or should I stay away?
I'm thinking this is the best place to actually get a good and honest answer to this question.

Is it me, or does this entire thread make you wanna say WTF?
Just a bunch of grumpy laid off union people on here, so I am sure that you will get a non-biased response....
That being said though. All our office people at the shops had weekends off, regular day shift hours, didnt act like they were miserable and they didnt commonly quit and have to hire new people. So, IMO it is probably a good job, and I would do it if I were doing HR/office style work.
