A new CEO, then a re-org with little information, finally layoffs. They are trying to trim the salary before end of quarter, very heartless and very myopic.

As much as I hate everything going on, and I agree with most of the posts here, there are a few things that should be cleared up for the sake of honestly. yes, the timing s—ed with the most recent "mid-level" layoffs. Which by the way were mostly VPs. that tells you something, because is mid-level is VP at HCSC then imagine the other layers of more senior leaders above. The company has way too many layers of titles. It is insane. To its credit the company is thinning out some of that herd. Also about the comment on trimming salary before the end of the year that is likely not true. The company seems to be doing very well financially again and these changes didn't impact that path. The layer trimming is helpful and makes the company more lean but its not because the company needs more $ in the form of salary savings. And the people at that level received generous severance packages. They are not hurting. Yes the timing, near the year-end holidays was really bad. Poor all the way around. but the people who were let go are not immediately hurting for cash. Lucky for them they got out of an awful company and enjoyed the holidays in peace. At least I hope so.
Company has been hijacked by a dishonest, unethical CEO with no health care experience. Expect he is trying to find a way to line his pockets with the cash reserves and leave everyone else holding on to a broke company while he laughs all the way to the bank. EVERYONE has nothing but bad things to say about this crook when he’s not in the room. Smart employees are all looking to leave. It’s a sad day. Time stamp this message for when another white collar executive ends up behind bars.
First wave of letting go VPs has done. Second wave starts on 13/12/2020. Managers could be involved at this wave.
Time to start looking guys. Get out fast!
Employees are scared. There is not much communications to people that work there. They are not telling people anymore when others are layed off. You find out only when you call someone and they are not there anymore. There used to be a good culture but not anymore. New leaders ripped it apart fast.
CEO is unethical. See his scandal with Secretary Zinke for proof. CEO is hatchet man for chairman of hcsc board to clear way for his personal choice of CEO who is currently the president of hcsc.
We'll be able to see the results of this debacle very quickly. The new CEO just do not know us well enough to be making such big cuts. We'll all suffer because of this.

Extremely poor execution on the transition strategy. The "state focused" approach is a waste of resources and results in the same problems being solved five different ways.
