The club I work at must be the best one in the company. We have everything in the new system in total control. Whats more our associates are 85 to 95 percent happy all the time. They are glad to reorganize their lives to accommodate the needs of the business. It was surprising to us that so many clubs had such a loss of talent when the new way came. Heck here we had former associates trying to come back once block scheduling took effect. When our managers want more than seems humanly possible we gladly accept the challenge and understand that what does not k–l us only missed an opportunity. Better luck next time ! We have heard about other clubs where the partners want to leave on time as prescribed by their schedules. Here our workers become noticeably more agitated when leaving time comes near because they wish they were still able to stay and work off the clock like in the old days. I hate to brag too much but OORAH ! 6404....

so you know my club eh?..well then you know how each associate longs to give even more and wishes they could work for free. They get tickled pink when the manager come whooshing through the door at 7 AM and starts demanding tons more stuff be dropped as if you had not already just about exhausted yourself for three hours. You also know how giddy we become when the manager rushes to the floor at 12 pm demanding more be dropped knowing you leave in half an hour. AND you also know how when you ask a serious question over the radio that same manager makes snarky and sarcastic remarks as if you were dumb as a box of rocks. Which by the way makes all of us feel like we really belong to one big happy family.

Sad thing is, it almost used to be like this. Almost. It was like a paid activity, not a job. Come in, get a whole sh–load of work done, have a good laugh with your co-workers and friends, and leave eight hours later - having sweat through your clothes - feeling like you accomplished something. Now, it's probably like this 25% of the time but at least there's a paycheck at the end of it.

Na my club is the best. We maybe get one call in per week on the entire floor. Floor partners and yes I called them partners since we are considered partners and the company’ wants so much input from all the experience we have accumulated thru the years. Our floor partners challenge each other to see who can irrate our members by asking them for the 1000’s th time if they would l8ke to find out about a plus membership or credit and then of course they are all trying to get a shout out on the front of the wire. With one of the recent shout out of someone posting an associate sweeping up a little pile of trash we have a majority of the FLOOR PARTNERS pulling out pallets and sweeping trash and begging to get a shout out. The excitement I see every week when they are told we may have visitors so let’s get the club zoned up and make it look like we are going thru a grand opening. Yep my club is the best.
