Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

RR track siding extensions.

They are going to make the sidings much longer on Pratt and Tucumcari subs to handle those 15,000 ft. trains. Anyone know where other sidings are going to made longer ?

San Joaquin subs like Fresno and Sacramento and other intermodal key locations . Gotta have better places for these 1 man crews to tie down their trains
all by them selves.

This is a fair question, but I’m not sure why it’s being asked here. The person to ask is a MTM who (hopefully) knows what projects are taking place on their territory.

I’ve been told by former colleagues that many new sidings are being built in/around critical subs throughout Texas, but don’t quote me on that.
