15 mins later maps are working oh c-ap 3 pieces of buried BT we arent going to be able to do 10 megs !!! what you want ME to call the customer to break the news that what you sold them they cant have !!! all right sheesh....customer says NO way ok close and move to next ticket......driving driving across the county 45 minutes to next job .....halfway there phone call SRO why cant you provide service to last customer they are fuming they called Louisiana !! you need to turn around and go back. yes i said go back ok BT ??? Here's what we need you to do bypass those 2 terminals.....how? .....run a cat 5 in the woods out of right of way by pass terminals we will have them dug up and repaired later....
So we go we do the job and on back to next job 45 minutes away they want 10 megs they are 17,543 feet from pair gain we aren't going to be able to provide that for them sorry for the trouble moving on next job. construction zone all cable in area has been affected by cuts abandoned sections etc this customer wants POTS service....what do you mean you cannot provide me service ill call in a PUC i know people ........you ok sir let me call SRO ......ok well sir i have been told we cannot provide service but we can provide you a nice 2 year pre-paid cell phone !!! yikes customer runs you off of property....You go to lunch you sit down to eat you are assailed by irate customers who want answers......... you run out with your tail between your legs and move to next pair gain
And the another IRATE customer pulls up to pair gain and begins yelling and swearing and threatening you. your not even on that ticket !!!! You decide to do the right thing and go fix this person. You then get the call first customer is out of service !!! Why arent you on this road? tell customer you have to leave !! Travel the 45 minutes back to customer one....what happened? the county mowed and ripped your cat 5 out repair it and move on
No overtime allowed.....oh wait you still have tickets ok great stay and finish them...no only until 5:30.ring ring hi jimmy this is Tammy listen we have an irate customer..yes the one we offered a cell phone can you meet Jerry on site and see if we can spark up an abandoned 12 pair that been in the ground 45 years and hasn't been used in 20 years maybe we can get him service.YEs i Know just do your best and LMK in the morning what you find...................
