If you volunteer for RIF, do you still get bonus + 1-2 weeks per year worked?

I still don't know why they don't allow people to volunteer for a RIF before one occurs. It would seem more cost effective to do that way and the people that really want to stay would be allowed to stay. There are just so many employees just waiting and hoping to get RIF'd.
Volunteering for a RIF can happen if you're manager likes you and they have to cut headcount. Sometimes they can, othertimes not. There is no formal policy. RIFs today right before Christmas. AIG execs have black souls.
Lol volunteer. We're all volunteering by staying. Just a letter of time.
I don't think they take volunteers. If they did, they'd probably be oversubscribed.
