Business Only footprint headed our way

It becomes obvious when going to our website and looking at career offerings 600 jobs. ZERO jobs for I&R or copper techs of any kind whatsoever? 235 sales jobs, 145 engineering jobs, account managers etc. !! so VSPP keep flowing like water ,and yet no replacements filling in? Well yes they are CONTRACTORS....I am hearing we are at close to 50/50 nationwide The company keeping that number close to the vest. some areas may no longer have the percentages to keep Union there. Particularly right to work states...

Funny thing is we have no offerings yet there are at LEAST 5 Companies currently looking to ire I&R For UNIT work in CTL areas . I see the listings daily.these UNITS are such low pay i see why the work being done is so shoddy. First they really don't understand our plant or how to get things done ....mostly because they don't care they have to close x amount Units a day to make any money

The CEO himself has been on record stating his interest is clearly in Business only arena and Fiber Backbone to be used by everyone who pays to use it. this will shrink us even further especially in Rural areas where they have no Gpon No Fiber...we will get spun or sold the question is when my bet 2020...So many have made moves over the last year i suggest if your a copper tech get in another department as soon as possible

Just some observations

Shady scam of a deal from the beginning.
"Hooray! I completed the quest to have service from coast to coast and north to south..."
Now I take a my check and run as I never really did anything but hold onto the shoulders of those carrying me.

Leave the company to some greedy dips that founded a scandal. (Did anyone see the lawsuit from the securities fraud in making the deal. Yeah, that got payed off and buried fast.)
Backed by new IBM formula to farm out everything possible while layering impossible goals on employees to prevent reasons to pay them.

Now they will use it as a bonus and follow Windstream's example. Spinoff and take the fiber.

Have to ramble as there is so much c-ap to how corps get away with screwing over people. They are left accountable as much as politicians, but with more money...
Your money. Yeah, pretty much the same.

Look quarter to quarter is how they operate, they are slow to adjust, when the model has broken they will take a year to try and recover, probably will be to late, they will not admit an error till the system crashes and they see the rubble at their feet. By that time the experience and expertise will be gone the records and data so wrong that getting it corrected will take years etc.

"They are starting to not back fill national techs who leave."

I am currently experiencing this. They're going to run us as lean as possible until the model breaks. 1 more tech leaving will break the model.

"They are pushing contractors into those positions too."

Haven't seen this yet but will not be surprised when it happens. When it does, I will hand over my phone and keys and make a graceful exit, for I am a leaf on the wind.

Level 3 and Qwest will bankruptcy business only/fiber too like they have everything else. The local divisions are the only units that have consistently made money year after year. We may not be growing but that doesn't mean we aren't profitable. How the he'll do.you think all these failed.ventures and interest on debt have been paid all these years? We've built long distance, wireless networks, data warehouses, headquarters, campuses, etc all off the money from local division customers. So bigger off level 3 just like sprint did and fail on your own too!
