Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Lol

I was let go in the last round of layoffs. I spoke with a financial adviser about my 401k. We decided to move it to an IRA. We called Meryl Lynch to get things moving. When the rep looked at the account he laughed. He said the windstrem stock was worthless and he doesn't think the company will be around much longer.

I wouldn’t the stock with the employee purchase plan and had built up a good amount. After “the Bag” took over I watched and listened for a while. Sold it all and stopped the purchase. If you left it all in Win you can only blame yourself writing was on the wall and just a diaper full coming from upper management. The hired one washout that had dueling banjos playing for a state level meeting. That is when you know you have “bubbles” running the show.

Should've dumped those shares along with Uniti when they announced they were no longer paying dividends. Uniti is sliding into the gutter as well.

"No, this is sound advice regardless of how well the company is doing. Even if you worked at AAPL or BRK. You know, don't put all your eggs in one basket?"

You are definitely in Windstream management! Thinking you're some kind of Munger/Buffett offspring when you are conflating holding shares of company stock to having all of your eggs in one basket...

Hell, you might even be a senior director with that level of unfounded self-assertion. Why don't you stop giving people investment advice and eat a wet fart instead.

Stock down to $0.13 per share. And this after that 6 to 1 reverse split......literally worthless. Couldnt run a company more into the ground if they tried. Insane how poor the windstream execs are at their job. Just keep buying worthless CLECs and see what happens lmao

Employees are not advised to hold shares of their own company's stock. Tells you everything you need to know about working there. Damn shame that only the imbecilic leadership are the only ones who'll be bailed out before they are removed, via KEIP.

Lol is on you. No one keeps their stock that I know of. Im not a financial analyst but dumped my stock the minute it hit. Never could understand why people would hang on to it then post on stream saying they lost a lot of money but were so hopeful it would come back. Its been in decline for years 😂😂😂 so why would you keep it???

If you held on to any of that stock since 2014, your financial advisor should be fired. Unless you just hired them, of course. You should have changed the distributions the morning you were able to. Just saying..
