Maybe this is why TR accounting, tax and management products are not functioning well - many accountants not able to access their products on VO and SAAS. What a mess! Customer support takes hours......

Hopefully, it should be quiet now until around October (although there's no guarantee). Management will either retreat to their offices or stay in them; congratulate themselves on a job well done; and studiously ignore the ramifications resulting from the latest round of layoffs.
I hope that that was the last one
Sorry to hear about the lay-offs. Was the Canadian Sales team effected? Did the inside sales team in Toronto/Scarborough escape layoffs again?
Which sales teams in Ann Arbor were given notice? It can't be that many since it is a strategic location. It seems like a shell game, and strategic locations are dependent on how it suits a particular situation.
I wonder if all these people in Ann Arbor who got let go will receive severance package or not...if they are, would that mean 2 weeks payroll for every year you worked for them?
They do it at year-end to get employees off their books (I think it has something to do with taxes). Many companies do reductions in-force (RIF) in November & December....nothing unique to TR. They truly are RIF & not lay-off's. A lay-off implies they will bring you back at some point.
I think the timing of the lay off is so terrible....right before the Christmas..
They did it last year too, before the holiday. Does the company have any care to its employees?
They took all the labor from these people whole year and then say Bye...
And what exactly -are- the products sold out of Ann Arbor?
I can never figure out what most of our offices do.
Wow. That's a real signal. Layoff the SALES team? The entire sales team? Nothing happens unless the cash register rings. So fasten your seatbelts – anyone involved in the products sold out of Ann Arbor.
All the inside sales in Ann Arbor was told they will be done at the end of December so yeah that is what happened.
I guess all the inside sales in Ann Arbor got pink slips and let go after December...
Why would Ann Arbor be renovating the heck out of the building if they were planning to let go of all Ann Arbor people? Maybe it's only some people?
They keep saying here in Hoboken that Ann Arbor and Carrollton are “strategic location (meaning preferred). If it is true about coming Ann Arbor layoffs what does that say about TR and it’s designations of Texas and Michigan?
All Ann Arbor people will be laid off end of this year?! Is that what I read in the thread comment?
I find no one really cares anymore. Why bother when you KNOW you can get the ax anytime.
Every year the reviews that no one reads are due a little earlier. This year they’re due two days after the Thanksgiving weekend while we’re working on getting out 4Q projects with our trans cut by 50%.
My director in years past used to have us put in the ratings before even doing/reading our staff’s reviews. She wanted to fill in her Excel sheet done as quickly as possible. We’d have to engage in the farce while she already had worked out the numbers beforehand. Bless her heart!
I wouldn't assume anything with this outfit. They have an agenda which they'll follow to the end. Perhaps one day they'll finally work it out that the pendulum has swung too far over to the under-resourced side with the latest round of layoffs, and that frequent layoffs actually hurt a company in a lot of ways, eg difficulty in recruiting new staff; low morale and discontent; loss of institutional knowledge and processes; continuity etc. But hey, what would the underlings know?
I heard that people were told in Ann Arbor today that they will be let go at the end of the year....
