I worked at Windstream for six years. Had great employee reviews, and my managers seemed to love me. I left for another job due to bankruptcy because who wouldn’t? I have never worked for a company that is so vindictive and immature to past employees who leave their position with good cause. Has anybody heard of former employees having this issue?

"I dislike this company as much as the next guy but not giving proper notice because your mgr wasn’t around is not a legit excuse. You could have cc’d a few levels of mgmt plus your hr rep and solved the problem before it began."
As a staff employee I should NOT have to babysit my manager to make sure that they do their job.
If they cannot perform basic managerial skills they should not be in that role. They should be held accountable for their actions.
I worked for a manager like this before, I brought it up to my director he got demoted, end of story!

Why are you even worried about this? If your a "past" Employee, who gives a sh*t. Move on, and forget windstream ever existed. Let it go already. Why do you still care??
I was part of a company they recently purchased. Also part of the recent layoff. They did not treat me as a co worker .I was treated like an outsider. Terrible company to work for. Didn't trust my manager at all. Back stabber. If you aren't part of the original windstream group your days are more than likely numbered.
If you wait long enough “Windstream” won’t exist. It will be some form of Windstream but it’s not going to be called Windstream. You should be eligible for rehire with the new company.
I bet TT will have have so much money when he leaves he wont have to work again.
"so Windstream told me I could never work there again and they were keeping my 15 vacation days and not paying me out."
That is like the captain of the Titanic yelling at passengers as they scramble for the life boats. "You will never sail on the Titanic again!!!"
Its laughable
Well I can't work there again and I gave my notice. They just didn't like what it said.
It was the truth. The truth is not what they want to hear
I gave nearly 3 weeks notice when I resigned. My manager was MIA for 2 weeks, so by the time he got around to submitting to HR it seemed like I only put in 5 days notice, so Windstream told me I could never work there again and they were keeping my 15 vacation days and not paying me out. Later a co-worker said my manager bragged about screwing me over.......horrible place to work
Windstream is sick company, rooted in "executive worship", where anyone who gets into a high position is a revered by anyone underneath trying to climb the ladder. It results in abuse of the other 90% of the of the workforce. Respect starts at the top, works it way down. Now, if your a gray hair or a non conformist, kiss your career goodbye. They are systematically releasing anyone associated with the older telecom companies that formed windstream, and elevating blow-hards who talk a good game, like software powerhouse and Agile garble. If you want to succeed, talk big. So all that to say, why are you surprised that they would treat former employees good?
