I understand that we’re past the line where sales results during the holiday season can help the company survive, and to be honest, there is no reason to expect that they are going good in any way, but can we expect them to be an indication of how far from the end we really are?

lol. you're definitely not at HE. nothing about transformco is systematic or organized.
Nope they've known when and what stores would shut down since it's been transformco, seems pretty systematic and organized
Retail customers are more valuable than real estate because they give you repeat business and cash flow. They're valuable assets that cost a great deal to acquire, and are hard to reacquire once lost, so you invest in their experience, satisfaction, and retention. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Sam Walton, and Jeff Bezos didn't make their money in real estate. Why was this so hard for Eddie to understand?
Transformco is not interested in retail sales because they have already closed some of the most profitable sears and Kmart locations
All they are interested in is the money they can get for the real estate
This is the last year for the full line stores
Sad.....
Sales. EL is not interested in sales. Never was.
Can you believe a retailer, NOT interested in sales!
Hard to say. Can anyone in management realistically expect anything other than dismal sales? If they are realistic then the fate is already sealed its just a matter of following the plan regardless. If management and EL are so blind to this then maybe things will accelerate after this weekend when the numbers come out.
