Walmart cannot deny benefits. Your unemployment is paid by you when you pay your taxes. Walmart can only say that you worked a certain amount of time at a certain amount of pay.
What Walmart can say is if you quit, abandoned your job or were fired. If any of these is the case then it is up to the state to determine if you get unemployment. If the state has denied you benefits and blames it on Walmart then you need to find out what Walmart said.

As @12dcO2Wy-xle has said Walmart can deny benefits, but it doesnt mean because Walmart said not it means no. You have a right to fight this in the end of the day unemployment has the final word to this. My dad was once fired and applied for unemployment he went to court and he won.

The only way you will get denied benefits is if you stoled something or did something that that violates Walmart policies you should be good. Just fight it and don't let them slide off it.

State determines if you get benefits or not. Walmart just submits forms that say you were employed by them and how many hours you have worked in the past so many weeks or months.
Each state has an hour threshold that you had to have worked to qualify for unemployment benefits and then they give you a percentage of your average hours. It is usually more beneficial to get another job because most unemployment is a very low percentage of your pay.

Walmart cannot deny you benefits. They can submit the info to the state, and the state will decide what to do.

There is only one thing you can do - you can appeal your case and see where this takes you.
