This network is from 1997 with more equipment then customers lol. Huge TDM switches with 15 customers. 10 DSLAM chassis in a collo with 5 customers between them. Tellabs 5320L with 7 live T1s. Its a telecom ponzi scheme. SD-WAN coming back to COs on non redundant NNIs. Actually, no redundancy anywhere on this network. Still installing EOL cisco 6513s lol
Yeah, automation will save us all! Some "yes man" is telling everyone up top we'll be fine as soon as we roll out the automation, but they obviously have no idea of the bird's nest we're working with... Poo included. With all the legacy equipment from all the acquisitions of yesteryear, it's a wonder why anyone would want to work with us.
TT is gonna use some open source software to do that for us.
While we are at it, it would be great to get some outsourcing for our Active Directory architect. The spaghetti code behind our present structure completely lacks a shred of logic!
