Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

More redundancies before March

There will be more redundancies before March, lists being drawn up. Regional CEO has rejected VR as he knows that there will be a rush for the door from senior and experienced staff. Lots of rumors re reorganization and whether CEO will remain in his role.

Does anybody know more about this? What is expected to be hit?

Redundancies paid to DXC employees in Australia are determined by when you joined the company, be it EDS / HP / HPE / DXC. EDS is a maximum of 40 weeks for 13+ years of service, HP is a maximum of 43 weeks and so on. Long service leave is also paid out pro rata with more than 1 year of service at the time of redundancy occurring. If an employee resigns then the years of service (with a sizeable tax free portion) does not apply. Australian employees don't have their health insurance paid either.

All of the above is due to Australia's industrial relations laws which mandate specific benefits unlike the US and India where DXC employees are screwed to the hilt, and good luck with 401k as it sounds like a load of bollucks. Australian DXC employees have freedom choice in where their superannuation funds can be invested.

‘Shouldn’t get a better package than US’. What an absolute load of bollocks. The day we set our standards by a Country that has millions without decent Healthcare, hell will freeze over. Yanks, you reap what you sew.

Why should no one get a better package than those in the USA ? The USA usually get better in job benefits etc so at redundancy time its tough sh– I am afraid :)

VR that’s bull. You shouldn’t get a better package than we do in the USA. We all work for the same company ! 8 weeks max!

^^^^

b—s—. It is not our problem that you live in country without social justice. If they want to hire people after spending half of the life working for them, they need and have to pay serious severance package.

There is ZERO corporate obligation in the US to pay ANY severance. You wastes of skin will be kicked to the curb just like the rest of the weekly trash. You are worth NOTHING... that is why you can’t keep a job. Winners win and losers, well, they lose.
