Pittsburgh office lost an entire plan. They outsourced it to a different company WITHIN the United States, so it looks like they're about to be hit with wave 2 of lay offs.

While I’m not defending offshoring it’s important to note that clinical professionals from India and the Philippines can come to the US for education and training. They can qualify for US state licensure and there is no residency requirement. I have significant concerns about the quality of their work but I believe it’s “legal”. Is it right? Nope.

There were articles on large companies that are promoting work from home. United Health Group was at the top of the list. As you read down you learn that UNH is exchanging their work force for foreigners. Potentially, this is every job. At the top of the list is Medical Director. That is curious since using foreign unlicensed Physicians would invalidate every review. There is a Community Standard with same state licensure and American Specialty Certification. If the reviews are coming from India and the Philippines that is very big. Those still employed hold the answer.

I think people are making up when the layoffs will be to scare people. People were also saying there would be layoffs in early January and that never happened.

I had also heard February to be the next layoffs. I do not know specifics, because upper management is very tight lipped about what areas will be impacted.
I was just told, layoffs are not over yet.

What divisions of E&I? Service? Sales? Operations? Quality? Eligibility? Install?
