Any idea? I believe that number if much bigger than any of us can imagine given that layoffs and furloughs have been happening at multiple locations and in various portions. How long can we expect the layoffs and furloughs to continue at this pace?

In 2020, 2021 NS expects about 3000 layoffs according to their strategic plan.
good point because there are a lot of layoffs that are unsung
Everybody is impacted we are all getting fuc-Ed , without any lubrication...
Amen brother
2020 will be the year when upper management get to their operations goal, and everything associated with greed. I don't believe they are done with system wide cuts yet. It's no surprise, been happening longer than most employees know, just now it's affecting a lot more locations so more people are aware of the cuts, and movements. Sadly, the days of the strong unions are over, so we are at the company's mercy. Take care brothers and sisters...
SCX has lost about 135 good people due to Farrell and his cronies. No Supervisors have been cut yet. Some have transferred, but none cut. 3 in the office every day with a GL to supervise 20 people. The math is off somewhere!
Have any supervisors at scx got the axe yet? They have lost at least 100 workers versus only 1 management.
Anything more than 1 person is too damn many because of corporate greed!
I heard just in 2020, 500 total mechanical were furloughed.
3650 total since PSR and counting........
The cuts will continue until the operating ratio of 60 is met or until the stock holders are happy.
