Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Am I the only one optimistic about this year?

I think it has to be better than the last one... I can't be the only one who feels this way...

It's going to get worse. It's just the beginning.

I wouldn't be optimistic for the next several years with this Company. They've already planned to buyback $20 billion in stocks, and right now they're working with all that free tax cut money.

You don't buy stock when its value is high and right now its at it's 52-week high. You buy stock after you tank it and then repeat the system that achieved the high stock prices, and triple or better your money. This is dangerous and means the Company can sell at the current high price, bottom out the stock price afterwards , and then buy back the stocks at a fraction of the cost. The hedge fund managers and the shareholders make out like bandits, and the Company doesn't have to rehire most of its furloughed employees back due to the reduced work load.

I've said it before and I'll repeat it again. If you have the ability to go somewhere else do it. This place and it's unethical business practices are not worth your physical and/or mental health.

Bunch of mo–ns....they are at 59% operating they want to get to 55%! You don’t think it’s gonna get worse? Can only store so many units, cut the top echelon and managers. Where do you think it’s gonna come from, cutting 3 pages out of track warrants? GTFOOH!
