I left a year ago when it became totally obvious that we were all being played with buzzwords and make believe new markets that will save HDD like IT 4.0, autonomous driving, 5g without consideration for loss of notebook, mission critical, etc.
The final straw was when the CEO called software developers at a Cupertino all hands just a bunch of typists. Clearly he is out of touch where the value is.
Now the CIO is the chief strategist for the company and is not qualified for the role. With this CEO and CIO/strategist the company is only going to be cash flowed while NAND will eat HDD's lunch while it becomes niche. Obviously the company will be much smaller in 5 years than today.
If you are not near retirement it does not make sense to stay with the company.
