Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

One year ago...

It was about one year ago when our core president pulled everyone together in a hastily scheduled Townhall meeting after a round of layoffs hit many key and very highly performing employees. He said that the worst was over and we were in great shape for the rest of 2019 and that no further actions would be needed. Fast forward one year - more layoffs, 80% of the staff rebadged to HCL, morale in the toilet and jobs mixing to third world countries. And now the same guy is telling the Managers that we’re rebadged to HcL that they will be here for 7 more years. Who would be stupid enough to believe this incompetent twit? So that’s the state of affairs here at COTG. Inept leadership and a gutted staff. My resolution will be to quit by the end of February - they can all choke on their idiocy.

HCL is signing deals with Xerox to keep those that are determined to be critical to the business. I dont know where the 7 years is coming from and I doubt there is a set timeframe on how long they keep them..actually the HCL deal with Xerox is for 7 years so maybe that does make sense that they sign an agreement with Xerox that they will keep these people for the set time of the 7 year deal.

I know there were rumors of people that were being kept getting rebadged back to Xerox but no way that is happening if they are signing deals with HCL to extend people. Plus Xerox cant have increased headcount on the books.

It seems to me the Cores are just regional Xerox sales offices now.

What am I going to do? Collect a paycheck and watch Xerox burn to the ground.

Yup I am on many calls and listening to the hcl lead people on them is pure torture, they all have no F'n clue on how this business works, the offshor e teams cannot handle the work, everybody in the U.S. but a few are being let go by hcl and these offshore teams have no idea the hell they are soon to embark on, they will not have us to fall back on, my goal is to get out soon now that the holidays are over, best of luck to all!!!

It’s amazing to me just how differently each core is experiencing this whole thing. We get little to no information and often, our president finds out at the same time we do. We have no local HR anymore and many of us are in the dark. Heck, our leadership still seems to be in denial about our HCL people. The whole thing is sad.

There is a handful of “executives “ sitting in Connecticut who are the only ones who know what’s going to happen to you next week, next month and next year. The Core “presidents” have been reduced to puppets sitting on John V’s lap as he pulls their strings! There is an old saying you should keep in mind-“Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see”
