If you try to unionize they will shut down the entire site. Happened in Iowa.

I got an out-of-nowhere meeting invite from my manager at the end of my workday today. Haven’t spoken to her in weeks, and she stopped responding to amy emails. We lost 4 to layoffs last time, and I’m guessing I’m gone tomorrow. I have higher production than other coworkers, and my salary is much lower than others. Doesn’t make sense at all, and I just want it to be over. Corporate America.....

At this point I'd almost rather they put me out of my misery. It's embarrassing being the 3rd or 4th person taking the call that actually knows what the f is going on because the other reps were clueless (either contracted or offshore). Move everyone overseas and watch this place fizzle.

Well here is to hoping that Jag doesn’t survive 2020.

I've heard that the layoffs are not based on a specific number of FTEs, but a % reduction in comp & fringe. Leaders tend to protect their employees, so many offered up open positions, budgeted hires and other items. While that protected a few, the rules didn't allow much of that. The second round for 2020 was established after the results from the first round were calculated. Targets are again based on a % of comp & fringe versus FTEs. Given the large differences between lower and upper grade salaries, there's not really a way for leadership to escape the cuts. UHG needs it's workforce more than a multitude of empire builders. I suspect you will see consolidations, outsourcing and significant leadership changes. Since leaders don't tend to cut their own throats, I anticipate a lot of top down decisions. I was eliminated twice by UHG over 5 years. The last one stuck and it was an ego buster, but I survived and appreciate the lack of stress in my life. I wish everyone the best. It s—s that these things happen around the holidays.

I transferred from CRT to another department this year. I noticed the same thing in CRT and my new department. People are getting put on CAP left and right too including myself for any little thing. Don’t you just love those company values lol something is definitely up in the whole C&S department!

I work for National MedTrans, the non-emergency transportation scheduling co. for UHC members. We have had big cuts too. Watched supervisors get walked out midday. We are a skeleton crew doing multi jobs with little support. The mileage reimbursement program is falling apart. The Louisiana members have not been paid since Oct. due to easily solvable computer issues. Recently, we are unable to create or edit driver profiles and assign mileage drivers to their scheduled drs appointments. This means no one is getting their mileage reimbursement checks. We are at the receiving end of this and are beyond stressed. I also have been asking about promised retro pay since Aug!
Was told it was being worked on and recently have been ignored.

Look closer at the snake. It was reported that United’s CEO made, from salary, stocks and INCENTIVES a cool $21.5 MILLION for 2018. They want to save money? They should start at the top of the totem pole. Cut off the head of the snake. I contend that they could easily start replacing and outsourcing THOSE jOBS. Don't tell me they couldn’t find 50 people talented and willing enough to do HIS JOB for just a couple million. And we can work our way right down the top replacing the bloated fat greedy people at the top whose jobs it is to “hit targets.” They sit with their spreadsheets and look for ways to cut away more money so that the first quarter earnings look strong. Translation? Incentive payout to the top tier executives. Everyone else that remains will double down on the workloads. Out-sourcing? Sure. But the teal enemy is technology. These clowns are mostly thinking of ways to replace you with Artificial intelligence (AI). I think United needs to rename itself ....I know, how about Cyberdyne Systems? You’ve been Terminated. Be-cause the machines are going to replace us all.

What departments ? Is CRT in C&S one of them ? We have not had team meetings in months , no communication from our Supervisors . It’s sign on and work and sign off. Been with the company 19 years and I have never seen a department being run the way our department has been in the last 6 months . Where is the Values Compassion and Integrity they talk about for their loyal employees. I feel something is coming but just working until the day I get the call
