Not that I blame people for leaving this place... But I do blame the company for being in no hurry to hire replacements for many of them, so we end up with twice more work than we are supposed to have - and not enough time to do it all.
If this continues, I'll be on my way out as well.
I left a few years back. I would encourage people to actively look at their options and move. There is life after Refinitiv (and TR). There are some talented people in the company that will be welcomed by many other organisations. Similarly, there are a lot of people in there on on inflated wages with limited skills that know they will not get a similar package outside and happy to sit and take all the c**p that is thrown at them.
Of course they are not. Lipper Team is on a straight road to mental breakdown...
Obviously the driver is neither quality of service nor customer satisfaction... not to mention "well being at work'". The driver is how to make sure Blackstone closes that deal for good and that Refinitiv pays back the debt leveraged for last year's LBO, with no detriment to the shareholders. Investment, quality of support, well being at work etc. are no priorities.
Why hire replacements when there are existing staff who can be loaded up with the work of those who were laid off? One problem with their logic though, quite often those laid off have most of the knowledge inside their brains and processes haven't been documented, or if they have then poorly. A bit hard to get it back once they've been shown the door.
Of course this will continue, how long have you been here? They will see, whether this doesn't cause any disasters. No mayhem? Good. Trouble? A smiling clueless dude in India is waiting for your job.
