Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Merry Christmas

Merry Xmas to my former co-workers. The job market is great. So dont let stress from work get you down! That job does not define you. You will see as soon as you leave, so just enjoy the holidays and forget about that place for a few days

Happy New Year. Make something happen and leave a dead company.
As far as customers knowing the industry. The ones I know have worked with a carrier of some sort so not falling for it or explain the difference between clec and ilec

I'll wait

” Grateful ILEC customer is management, been trolling this site for a months”

Yikes! I never thought of “Merry Christmas “ as trolling but I guess it actually is for some folks.

I’m the grateful customer. I’m not fake and I’m not management.

I’ve worked in telecom/ networking for much of my career but never for a carrier, always for a vendor or a big customer. I know what ILECs and CLECs are.

Right now, my employer and I are both locked into Windstream (ILEC). I’m happy with my fiber at home but at work we’ve got some real problems; we’re trying to find alternatives and workarounds. I wish our work location had fiber; the copper might as well be 50-year old barbed wire. We spend a _lot_ of money. Bandwidth issues are affecting our business.

Beyond that, this whole county depends on Windstream and given my background, I’m very worried about our future. I follow this message board trying to figure it out.

The remaining local Windstream people try hard and we appreciate it but they’ve got a real mess and they didn’t cause it.

As for your management, I don’t have any direct experience with them. The last 10 years of acquisitions and financial results speak for themselves. Also the network issues.

Fake news....
'Grateful ILEC customer?

Most of win employees do not know what ilec or clec is. The chances of a customer knowing which they are and what the two mean is pretty low. Thx, and merry Christmas.
