Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

What would make you quit your job?

I'm not happy here, but I also know I have it much better than many of my friends in other companies. Which is why I'm staying put despite everything that's been going on. But I'm wondering for people on the fence, what would it take to get you to quit? What would be the last straw kind of moment for you?

Well only 13 hours left of this year let’s home senior management change their direction and attitude otherwise more good people will leave due to continued bad leadership

I've been with NOV so long that I'm too comfortable and used to the b—s—. I won't leave until I'm let go or the company crashes and burns. Both scenarios seem extremely likely.

My friend, it is easier to find a job while you have one. Market your worth and move on to another better paying gig. NOV is not interested in any employee.

I didn't quit, I was laid off. Went back to school and graduated with a BS, and now I'm working in an office making three times I was making at NOV working in the warehouse. If you're on the fence, just do it. Getting out of that dump was the best thing that ever could have happened to me. NOV is a go nowhere kind of company.

Old VP of Wireline being rehired would make me bail immediately

Sitting in my office passing the time away - a years salary would be enough to let me walk away lol
