Extra 4 hour holiday pay, doesn't make up for a stagnant job, more responsibility, no raises with getting a "No" when inquiries if there is any classes I can take to boost my career here.
Time to find a new job, where in the insurance industry other companies are paying for quality workers.

If you read the post it said thanks for the extra 4 holiday pay. I believe this implies they know the other is paid.
Management is throwing trinkets at the same employees they want to RIF. Nothing has changed.

I mean, I was glad we got Xmas Eve off but I also felt that the extra 4 hours of holiday pay doesn't make up for the stagnant salaries, unchallenging work environment and weak middle and senior management. Especially now that there are two Presidents..like wtf lol.
I feel that AIG has made me lose hope in corporate work in general. I think I'd be better utilized in a start up environment anyway where I can actually learn new things that I can take elsewhere to grow my career.
I agree we have had a lot taken from us and are required to do more work. We have lost a lot over the years and much of it amounts to the poor leadership. However, I feel this was a really pleasant surprise and good gesture on the part of BD. When these type of surprises are given to all of us, it does help some with morale.
Yes, time for you to leave. I'll enjoy the full day off....you forget the other 4 hours are paid as well.
I agree the company is not a fun place to work, the direction and upper leadership are suspect.
Take the time off to get ready for greener pastures elsewhere....which I hope it will be....
