I came to know that Intel has come up with an HR controlled Focal system based on an online system. This makes everything more fuzzy with no clear expectations, no set promotion goals, stock allotment, etc.
Is this some kind of experiment they are trying to make look good or worse??
Call it the Fecal process.
Staying at this 50 year old company will only degrade your skillset. Look around.

New focal is the same focal. Just a patronage system to reward lower grades who s— up and demonstrated loyalty to their sponsoring VP or senior PE.
Intel is expanding 10nm. However, the same old rules with no clear agenda for focal.promotions or growth will destroy the company.

I’m a new employee who has never used focal, but focal seemed to encourage a cut-throat mentality that is not good for collaboration. I don’t trust people who are always trying to CYA and 1-up everyone.
