Not a chance of that. If you run the numbers, Windstream can operate without liquidation (chapter 7). The creditors will recapture more of their losses if a new Windstream emerges. This will require cutting back on much of the CLEC business that requires leased lined (other than from Uniti) you’ll also need new managers which I’m absolutely sure you’ll get.

He says the same garbage over and over. We do not have the employee base to get to where we need to be at this point. We have to start collapsing multiple CLEC networks down into one, but now we do not have the engineers or net techs to pull it off. 90% of this network is TDM with very little traffic. And most of the equipment is EOL from the 90s. There is millions of savings to be had but nobody to get us there. E.G. we have over 6 CLEC central offices serving the same lata in some areas. In the Verizon collocations windstream has 4 of the 7scopes/cages in any given office. Why did we buy so many CLECs and do nothing with their networks? We are not a small clec or a significant ilec, but we certainly have the worst of both worlds
