Correlation?

Raises have always been pathetic even if you consistently get 5's.
I'm a manager at Optum. Evals will be limited to mostly 3's and an occasional 4; we'll have a quota of 1/2's to fill (even with all of the layoffs), and we've been told to pretty much forget about promotions - 1, 2% at best might be considered. Between the layoffs and what looks to be an awful bonus/salary pool, I expect morale to continue to plummet. I know so many people who are actively looking to leave, all due to the toxic culture.
Been with this company over 10 years and have never had a decent raise
Mainly sector related with Trumps announced Hospital Transparency Rules looking to combat healthcare prices. That along with Liz Warren backing off her Medicare for All proposal. A rising tide lifts all boats, though United reported a solid third quarter. If you own the stock its good news but for employees latest i heard was more cost cutting and no promotions or salary adjustments for a lot of areas. I would not expect a decent raise or bonus for most people this year.
