It's was unbelievable on Thursday people all around me got let go.. they took a whole dept 15 people in office all 15 got Ax.. Never seen anything like that in my life

Who ever got training? I was with windstream for 3yrs after an acquisition and never got any training. Nobody had a list of IPs of network elements, nobody had any login credentials or how to get them. It was just thrown into the fire and rely on overseas teams to provide that support. As a net tech I was used to troubleshooting issues front to back.....at windstream they want their techs to just stand there and wait for direction.
Make the new employees learn on their own. Don’t help them. To many land mines exist for a new person to be successful. All of us old timers know what’s waiting for them. Let the managers help them or call

Wonder how many of the recently departed employees are monitoring for age discrimination and are filing EEOC cases. Employees with the needed technical skills are declining at an ever increasing pace at Windstream. This fact is undeniable!
Management incorrectly believes that employees with degrees and skill-sets will provide training to the new employees. I must admit I used to help train employees in an effort to be a good comrade even though I am classified only as an 'individual contributor' - but never again!!! Let Management train the new workers and their unskilled friends that were shifted around in scheme to promote - do not assist managers in this effort and enjoy the show!

We need to eliminate management. Any big decisions, just let employees vote on stream. No need to let Pay executives to say the same thing over and over again. We’re tired of the Lip service. This entire SDWan next generation broadband provider c-ap is ridiculous, and someone needs to tell the executives they’re not a software company.
It looks like TT & LL are trollling this site adding negative reactions. Can't blame them, counting their Benjamins can get tedious after a while.

Losses of 120 million will require additional staff reductions. Not sure where they can cut that amount cost wo eliminating management.
LL has already stated"Smaller more Agile teams" , The writing is already on the wall.
I expect a mass layoff and re-org in January. The next court date on December 6th will just determine
when it's going to happen. Nothing can be done without court approval. When the next Monthly Operating Report for Windstream Holdings come out with the October and November numbers we will see a line item for the separation packages and get a better idea of how many people were let go.
A year from now only half of the people will work here, it's going to be like the Hunger Games for 2020 trying to survive.
2019 still has at least one massive layoff left. They had one on 10/30 and 11/14. 2020 is going to be ugly for WIN
