As somebody said in another thread, too many people at Fidelity who are complaining about layoffs are those who have not even tried to keep up with the changing times and now their pay does not match their skill set.
If your skills do not match what the company needs, you will be laid off. There is nothing personal there, that's just common sense. You either adapt or be ready to walk. As simple as that.
It’s: their skill set does not match their pay. Bullying is a part of getting a better job. No skills required, just obedience. Skills are for volunteers.

In some cases, your post may have some truth. But many of us have created the new technologies, systems, tools, and business models you use. We have created new and revolutionary ways of working. Fidelity presented challenges to us and we met them. We moved mountains for them. And because you are younger and they can pay you less, we get tossed like trash.
We have not only upskilled, we created the skill. And at Fidelity they are all about diversity, unless you are over 40. Fidelity is leading the way in ageism. They are unashamed. Just remember this..your time will come sooner than you think. The days are long, but the years are short.
