January is when FY 2021 is planned. Sir Daunt has already purged the execs he didn't like. The serfs will be purged around January I think. I'm one of them, maybe.
Anybody looking to work for BN for the long term is bound to be disappointed. Jeans and sneakers or not, this is not a realistic business model. A year or two? Fine. Anything longer than that, good luck.

Amazon just opened their 20th physical store. Watch out Barnes & Noble!
BN has treated past employees and a LOT of customers badly... the dismal sales will continue into the holiday.

I am kind of hoping that the big stores close and they open fewer smaller stores. Why can't they just stick to books only? Ditch the toys, gifts, journals, and collectibles.
