I was on the mechanical dept. conference call today. they have lost there minds. they Said " we need to get boots on the ground with there stop watches and time them. " so they want us to stand over the employees like Plantation owners with our stop watches. tell me how this is supposed to make things go faster. then you have one region manger insinuating that we will be surprised at the amount of extra time there is. upper mechanical dept management is running around like a chicken with its head cut off. just listening you can tell that they haven't spent time in a locomotive shop. whats more important dewell time or getting trains out on time ? we have an upper mechanical management person running the show that likes to get drunk in a forrest and hit people . that's the kinda of people we are dealing with.

They are ABSOLUTELY timing employees
I don't give a c-ap if they come around looking like Flavor Flav wearing a stopwatch. I work at the same pace whether they're standing over me or not around at all.
It is Brosnan Forest. And yes, the management go there, and yes there have been instances of unbecoming events.
