Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Beancounters

Beancounters should not be elevated to CEO. I have seen this several times and it never works out well. People, like MT, do not have an appreciation for culture or the historical significance of the roots of this company. Another fine example of executing on numbers alone:

Lord Tipsord took it a step too far by putting SF’s people dead last. SF will be paying for this for many generations.

I believe MLT is doing what he thinks is best for profits. In that regard he is brilliant but by doing so at the xpense of the employees he has created significant bad blood with these massive layoffs. He needs to do something big for the employees to win them back. Time will tell.

That bean counter increased the reserve to over 100 billion and my pension thanks him. Keep counting those beans.

Like all CEOs they hide behind a game of how to screw the workers. If they keep going the way they have been because of their greed, another Jimmy Hoffa will appear out of nowhere. People will learn to fight for what has been stolen from them by CEOs, VPAs, VPOs, consultants and all the rest of the pencil pushers who have never put a day's work. Just remember they look the part and that's it. They have their devil's too. Their objective is to take as much as they can from the worker and the customer.

I once saw a sign that said something like:. Once you go from a quality product to a cheap unreliable product, it takes a long time to get the customers trust back. Bean counters don't understand this reality in business except when the numbers fall. Then they scramble and fail to remember why.
