Layoffs happening in Customer service this quarter, it was announced yesterday, that there will be layoff and re-balancing of headcounts, it will be CE's taking the hit.

Yes. There were four people let go in the NYC CS&S office on Oct 1st. Many others across the US. Given packages of 2 weeks per year of service ( 40 weeks max. ) plus $2-3K for cobra. They did it with con calls to employees with HR person on call. Disgusting.
Santa Clara Engineering layoffs started on the second week of October. They call it "restructuring..."

Any idea which offices and departments are affected? Heard of a couple folks from CS&S in Canada and the northeast were let go at the beginning of the month.
