People like you leaving is good for Ford

Can confirm the same. I went from GM to Ford EPE in 2014. Left Ford about a year ago for a small supplier. Lack of leadership, vision, and strategy was appalling at Ford, even more so when compared to GM.
See what the new Ford culture has done to us. In the past we would have offered support and/or encouragement to a peer who had become discouraged with their job. Now we tell them to please go.
I love that last comment–please go. What should have been included is "so I have a better chance of being retained". Unless, of course, you are over 50 years old. Then you're done at Ford.
I think that you leaving is a good idea as well. Please go.
Go for it. Did the same thing. GM to Ford to supplier. Life is the best at the supplier of all......none of the following - non-sense, politics, bickering, analysis-paralysis. Feel like I was an id–t to give all those years to Ford just to have a "status symbol" and so I can tell people that I can get a brand new car (lease) every year. Very immature of me in hindsight....
Good luck. I was part of the SRD in May working in FMCC. I finally got a new job just as my unemployment ran out. The good news? It's with a more stable financial company and almost 2x what I made at FMCC. The bad news? I have to relocate yet again.
(I have averaged living 3 years in each of 7 states over the past 21 years (give or take) so I'm getting too old to pack up and relocate due to getting laid-off. Sigh.)
Go for it. You won’t be sorry.
