Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Would a line level manager know the fate of their employees at this stage?

For example would an Engineering manager know the fate of their staff members, or does a Finance Manager know the fate the Analyst?

Correct, managers do not know who or when, nor do they get input.

Directors and VP knows.
Managers have no clue.

Finance will only know the #'s that will be hit overall in their areas of responsibility/support. The Engineering Manager will only know the detail if he/she will be safe - specifically because they will most likely be the ones with HR to deliver the message to the impacted employee. The timing of when the Engineering Manager will know is a guess. Possibly a day or two before the 'event' ….maybe even hours before. All Directors and above know who will be impacted and have for months (not weeks). Although I know this is hard, everyone try keep your head up and stay positive. Gulfstream is a great company. This isn't personal - it's just business. Business can be cold and brutal sometimes. Good luck all.

Director level. Managers seem disconnected and unaware.
